AMINO POSTUREis a series of human figures—mostly female—captured in dance, interaction, or in poses that are both innocent and subtly suggestive. Through this series, I explore different ways of understanding the notion offlightorescape, while also reflecting on the resurgence of toxic masculinity that increasingly compels women—including myself—to move through the world with greater caution.

Animals serve as powerful symbols throughout the work, inspired in part by their symbolic roles in Lars von Trier's filmAntichrist: the hare, the deer, and the fox. The horse and the dog also appear in the series, representing the domesticated animal as a reflection of our own humanity.
